Wake The Neighbors

Get grimey before the mid-week. We used to follow James Almeida back when Bassline / Niche music was still mostly unknown in the US; he hosted a mix series called Music Without Turntables.

James, now calling himself DJ Meida (www.djmeida.com), is on top of his remix game and still smashing out mixes that feel fresh to the State-side ear. Check out his new mix, posted just an hour ago.

Kissy Sells High with You’re Not The One

Legendary BBC Radio 1Xtra host, Kissy Sell Out never stops putting up the anthems. Backed with hardcore breaks and tubular bass style, he has proven his signature ravey sound over the radio waves and in the warehouse. I played so much of his music on The FM Experiment through the years that even an amateur listener would know that it is his on-air format that I was after.

Having produced and supported 2 full-length albums while at 1Xtra, Youth (2009) and Wild Romance (2011), he is now retired from radio and is focused entirely on the dancefloor. If you love the anthem above, check out the you’re not the one promotional video and download his Wonders of the Kissy-Verse DJ mix.
